В такой момент победный марш на Киев дал народу ощущение собственной силы, уверенность в собственном будущем, укрепил его духовное мужество и, прежде всего, создал основу для успешного и прочного мира, которого мы все так желаем. Вся Польша едина в желании, чтобы народ, освобожденный нашей армией, сам решал свою судьбу, форму своей государственности и форму своего правительства. Наша армия несет свободу населению, которое столько лет угнеталось штыками. В Вас, Главнокомандующий, независимо от партийных разногласий, мы видим символ нашей любимой армии, армии такой мощи, какой не было у нашего народа даже в его самые славные времена...
During a solemn session of the Sejm on 18 May 1920, Marshal Trąmpczyński addressed the Commander-in-Chief both solemnly and naively: Since the times of Kircholm and Chocim the Polish nation has not experienced such triumphs of arms. History has not yet seen a country which would create its statehood in such difficult conditions as ours. At such a moment, the victorious march on Kiev gave the nation a sense of its own strength, confidence in its own future, strengthened its spiritual courage, and above all created the basis for a successful and lasting peace, which we all desire so much. All of Poland is united in the desire that the people, freed by our army, should decide their own destiny, the form of their statehood and the form of their government. Our army carries the freedom of a population that has been oppressed for so many years with bayonets. In you, Commander-in-Chief, irrespective of party differences, we see the symbol of our beloved Army, an army of such strength that our nation did not have even in its most glorious times...
